THANKS EVERYBODY FOR AN AMAZING YEAR

Summer Riding

Tuesday Rides will alternate between Inlet Road, leaving from the club car park and Whitehillsmeeting at the gate, both at 5.30. Under 16s need to be with a parent or adult who has agreed to be responsible for them. Keep an eye on Facebook for updates and last-minute changes.

Inlet Road is OPEN!!!!

Harvest is finished for the summer, and riding is GOOD TO GO!!

You don’t have to wait for a club ride

We’ve lost a lot of old favourites and you will need to ride a little further to get into the trees. Make the most them this summer… harvest continues in the autumn. Thanks to Olsen’s for allowing riding in the weekends during harvest.

Take care – There is still work going on and there could be vehicles on forest roads at ANY time.  Look and Listen before you exit onto a road. Tracks haven’t had much maintenance, there are trees down and the pigs have been busy in a few places.

Parking and Keys

Parking is available in the Club Carpark at any time to members who have a key. Current keys will still work this season.  Keep the gate locked at all times - lock it behind you while you ride and when you leave. Haven't got a key?  Members can buy a key for $10. Please deposit money into the club account 06-0350-0133305-00 with Key and your Surname as reference. Email evan@primeplumbinggas.co.nz and he will let you know where to collect your key.

Whitehills Forest  - State Highway 10

Club rides are here on alternate Tuesdays along with regular-ish weekend rides. Details on Facebook. The number of tracks at Whitehills seems to grow by the day so there’s always something fresh to check out. Keep driving, in the forest, to a minimum.

Whitehills is only open for Club activities so encourage your friends and family to come along to club rides to check it out.

Waitangi Mountain Bike Park

Waitangi is the perfect place to get your kids and their friends hooked on bikes. Team up with another family to make it even more fun. Support your local and invest in our next generation of young riders.

Thanks Everybody

It seems like so many things have been cancelled this year – but it’s been a huge year close to home ... and now … we have Whitehills!!!

Without the amazing support of our community, Whitehills would not even be a thing.

So to everyone who has helped - Thank you!

Thank you Mt Pokaka for donating timber to build ALL the bridges –. and Anzor Fastenings and Bryant Roofing for the bits and pieces to hold it all together.

Thanks to Tom Harrison and Sons for transporting Martin’s big digger to build the shuttle pick-up road. And Hire Corp for amazing deals on all the days we’ve hired the track-building digger.

Days on the digger have been sponsored by New World Kaikohe, the Huston Family,  Waipapa Glass, Prime Plumbing and Pest Control, the McGlinchy Family, Bryant Roofing, Tony Worral, Neil Cates, Jason Vokes and Thomson Survey. Thanks to Martin, Neil and Paul for making the machinery do its magic.

Thanks to Ground Effect for paying for all the hand-tools, Prime Plumbing for the toolbox, ITM and Terrain North for awesome discounts.

Auto One have pledged to sponsor maintaining the shuttle trailer.  Bunnings chipped in a few dollars for the trailer storage box, Waipapa Rotary shared proceeds of the Adventure Film Festival and MTB Direct drip-fed a few dollars every now and then when you bought stuff.

Many, many people shifted dirt on many, many evenings and weekends.

Thank you all!

Thank you Summit for allowing us to play in your forest.

Thank you, Paul for setting the scene and coordinating with Summit and a massive thanks to the Martin, the Trail King, and his mighty minions!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you !!!

But wait there’s more!!!

The Twin Peaks Enduro was a heap of fun – 38 entries, loads of laughs, mountains of banter, some anxious waits, whoops and hollers. Thanks everyone for coming along and sharing in our fun.

Big thanks to Richard for organising the day, Fintan for providing a fabulous apres-ride venue, Martin for working overtime to get the tracks sorted, the Shrubshalls for the sausages and everyone else who helped out behind the scenes.

Once again Hunter Cycles came up with some awesome prizes and even talked Leatt into donating some very special goodies to give away.  Gracias!!
