Summer is here at last and holiday ride-time is just around the corner.
Happy Holidays, Happy Riding and Happy 2026 to you all.
If your bike has been parked up for a while, dust it off and get out for a ride. The tracks are in amazing condition, and all of the winter rain has created some lush green undergrowth.
Check your membership - open up the hivepass app on your phone, if you find a pink screen where Kerikeri MTB Club should be, it means it’s time to renew your membership – do it Now! And turn your notifications on so you don’t miss the fun stuff like shuttles or important stuff like forest closures.
WHITEHILLS ENDURO
While the weather is stunning, get in a few practice laps for our very own Whitehills Enduro on Sunday 25 January. Keep an eye out on social media as the stages are released.
The 4 stage race will be four x grade 4 stages
The 6 stage race will the 4 stage race with two extra grade 5 stages
Special Stage Edmonds Road will not be timed but will have it’s own special stage prize draw – We’ll keep you guessing what this track will be.
Race stages will be a combination of tracks with new temporary links to create familiar but all-new race lines. You will start to see the new links taped over the next few weeks, and some new signs to alert you to temporary merging and crossing tracks.
Heaps of entry choices available
4 stage, six stage, analogue, e-bike, U15, U17, U19, Open, Masters (35-50), Legends (50+)
Don’t hold back!!! You can do this!! Registrations are open!!
Massive thanks to our sponsors, who help to make the event possible, the important stuff like safety and timing and toilets and the fun stuff like music, food, prizes and funtimes.

Creating Great Vibes needs Great People – Call for Volunteers
We’re on the lookout for people, oozing positivity to look after the food and water stations, to marshal on the course, to help set up and pack up, sort out the playlist and make sure our visitors feel welcome.
Helping out is a great way to suss out how the event works so you can enter next time or watch some incredible riding from our young guns (and a few not so young!). Put your hand up now to be part of the action.
Mums and Dad’s and partners, this is the best way to see your person in action.
Riders- we’d love your help before and after your race – get your name on the volunteer list today please.

A small crew of our young riders and their minders, headed off to test their skills at the Legends Enduro with some outstanding results. They raced the short course - Tuteata Hot-X Buns, Out of office, Te Poaka, Whaaki and Pest Control.
Kole Teixeira smashed out 4th in the U15, Manu Zwinkles raced into 7th and Josh Couchman 17th in the huge field of U17s. Taylor Teixeira and Logan Couchman showed the field they had what it takes with 6th in masters ebike and 7th in the masters short course.

The Kauri wash station has been vandalised so it temporarily out of action until repairs are complete – please wash your bike at home.

If you are bringing your visitors to ride this summer, please encourage them to keep their bike clean, use the kauri wash station as they come and go and to leave dogs at home.
Get permission from the club before you dig or create a new line to ensure safety and preserve sensitive ecology and historic sites.
It’s Ride time!
Look out for each other. Stay safe. Have a blast!
Make your Club the most Awesome MTB Club for miles around.
If you’d like a different kind of ride, perhaps a family ride, a Sunday afternoon gravel ride, a chilled Waitangi ride, a skills ride with someone who has experience to share, an epic overnighter, you’d love to lead a ride ….. or something else altogether, please let us know so we can help you get it going.
This is your club so get amongst it and have a blast this summer.
